Below are a few of the locations we do research. You can click on the name below to link to the site. We do research in many other repositories, such as courthouses, other historical/genealogical societies, LDS Family Centers, health departments, cemeteries, funeral homes, etc. There is no limit to where we will research… if it’s available, we’ll research it! |

We make every effort to complete your research requests. We generally go the extra mile to fulfill your requests and enjoy the excitement of researching for you. Keep in mind that not all records still exist and some never did, so in some cases records may not be found. We do use our many years of record research experience to find what is available.
Custom Research
Expert research tailored to your specific project needs in the following areas of expertise.
Our fee is $20 per hour, with a minimum of three hours. A $60 deposit is required before beginning your research. We will begin your research upon receiving a $60 deposit (three hours of research), unless we estimate that your inquiry will take under an hour, in which case, the deposit will be $20.

Some, but not all, of the repositories we do research are State Archives, County and State Libraries, County Court Houses, Historical/Genealogical Societies, County Health Departments, LDS Family Centers, and more.
Research Outside Our Normal Areas For research outside our normal area, we charge $20 per hour for actual research, 48¢ per mile for any mileage beyond our normal area of research, and $8 per hour for travel time. Plus any fees we are charged for researching; such as copies, parking, research fees, etc. We always try to ask before making copies to make sure it is ok with you; you are charged the same price we are charged for these additional fees. You will be invoiced for the exact costs of any fees charged to us for researching.
Reports Reports are done in Microsoft Word format and is $25 for entering your data into the database and the first two pages of the report. Each additional page of the report is $5.
Cemetery Research Cemetery research requires a deposit of $25 for us to begin your research (which is deducted from the total cost of your research upon completion of the project). The fee for travel to and from cemeteries is $50 per mile if it is more than ten miles from our home. If we email photos to you there is no charge, for actual printed photos, it is 35¢ per print plus the actual cost of postage. If you would like the photos sent to you on a CD, the cost is $5 per CD plus the actual cost of postage.

Three Generation Census Survey ($100) Surveys all available information from census records in which 3 generations appear (subject, 2 parents, 4 grandparents) and all children listed. We will produce a genealogy report in .pdf or Word format. Keep in mind that although the records are available, not all people were listed on them for various reasons; e.g. the person was living with a different family at the time, misspellings, the family was missed altogether.
Beginning Research Package ($200) This is a complete research on a beginning ancestry for you. We will produce a genealogy report in .pdf or Word format for you. We will use the information you give us to find as much as we can about your family history via census and available online records (we subscribe to several services for this purpose) from all parts of the USA. Historical records are only available from 1930 and prior, so the first subject person must have existed prior to that. We will spend up to 30 hours doing this research for you to get you started on your family history adventure.
Property Research ($100) We will use the county courthouse (includes one county below) to locate the historical records of your property as far back as records exist and produce a pdf., Word or .txt formatted report for you. This will include up to 20 hours of research.
Pro Cemetery Photography Complete ($200) We will photograph a cemetery (not individual graves) for publications or your use in a professional and unique manner and Photoshop the photos as necessary. We will produce a CD mailed to you or we can email the photos to you, for your use as you wish.
Complete Census Synopsis ($100) We can do a complete census synopsis of a particular name in a particular area for any available census. We have discovered a lot of hidden information by doing these. Sometimes names are missed, or misspelled, or even indexed wrong on the census indexes.
As well, relationships can be discovered by the proximity of neighbors. Click on the button below to see an example synopsis. Tell us where you would like us to search for you and you will be very pleased with the results! We have access to 100% of available federal census data, as well as state, slave, and other census records.
Basic Research
Record Pickup We will travel to the sites below and retrieve one record for you. You must know the specific record we are going to retrieve and that it does exist. If you want more than one record from the same site, add $5 for each. Price includes a .pdf copy of the record. If you do not know if a record exists, refer to "RECORD LOOKUP" below.

To begin...
Simply contact us with details of the research services you would like us to provide you. If it is family history research, please give us any and all information you already have on the individual(s), place(s), etc. that you know, as this will help us to complete your research to the utmost satisfaction. The more facts you can give us, the better chance of us finding more information for you.
Upon hearing from you, we will require a payment of $60 (the first three hours of research), made payable to A & M Record Research, sent to P.O. Box 125, Highspire, PA 17034. We will then bill you for the remainder as the work is completed.

Note: Current/continuing/returning clients will remain paying the fee in which we begin doing their research, even if our prices increase for any reason. For instance, if we charge $18 dollars per hour when we begin working for you, your fee to us will remain $18 per hour, as long as we work on the current research project.
